The Coastal People: Southern Skies Centre of Research Excellence (CPSS) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) in research projects that strengthen the mauri ora (flourishing wellness) of our coastal communities, restore and sustain coastal ecosystems, and grow the capability and capacity of our people.

Postgraduate Scholarships include Honours, Post Graduate Diplomas and Masters 

For Postgraduate Scholarships, the stipend is $22,000 for one year (which will be pro-rated if the award is not for a full twelve month period).

The scholarship will be administered by the Scholarships Office at the recipient’s institution. Generally, stipends are paid monthly.

The scholarship pays the tuition fees (at the domestic rate). The scholarship does not pay student services fees and insurance costs

Applications are welcomed in both English and Te Reo Māori

Applications for postgraduate (Honours, Masters, PGDip) are open!

Coastal People: Southern Skies Postgraduate Scholarships

Coastal People: Southern Skies (the Centre) intends to train and develop skilled students to the highest standards and to offer unique opportunities to postgraduate students. Postgraduate scholarships are budgeted to attract and provide opportunities for students who have unique skill sets and who otherwise may not have the opportunity to receive funding assistance and students who have an excellent academic record
